betinternet.com plc (“betinternet.com” or “the Company”), the fixed odds and tote betting provider, announced today the appointment of Mr. Paul Doona BA FCA as Finance Director of the Company and the resignations of Mr. Pat Flanagan (Operations Director) and Mr. David Craine FCA from his Finance Director position, with effect from the 30th August 2002.
Paul Doona, 50, has been appointed Finance Director of betinternet.com subject to the necessary approvals by the Isle of Man Gaming Commissioners and the Department of Trade and Industry. His appointment will be effective from the 4th of September 2002. He has over 20 years public company experience having held the positions of Finance Director and Company Secretary from 1988-1999 with St. Modwen Properties plc, Finance and Managing Director of Claims Direct plc from 1999 to September 2001 (administrative receivers were appointed to Claims Direct plc in July 2002). Latterly Paul held the position of interim Finance Director for the bet365group Ltd from February 2002. There are no further disclosures to be made regarding Paul Doona’s appointment under Schedule 2 (f) (iii)-(viii) of the AIM Rules.
