WatchandWager.com partners with Churchill Downs for Saturday’s Kentucky Derby

The board of Webis, the Group specialising in the provision of sports betting, pool wagering and the operators of Cal Expo, the Californian harness track, announces that its San Francisco-based Advanced Deposit Wagering (ADW) business, WatchandWager.com LLC (“WatchandWager”) has renewed an agreement with Churchill Downs Inc. (“Churchill”) to allow its customers to wager on races controlled by Churchill, effective from 29th April 2014, the start of the Churchill Downs racetrack meeting in Lexington, Kentucky.

This contract is particularly significant as it encompasses the rights for this Saturday’s Kentucky Derby at the Churchill Downs racetrack itself. The contract also allows for wagering and video streaming rights from the following racetracks: Churchill Downs, Arlington Park, Calder, Canterbury Park, Fairgrounds, Finger Lakes, Hoosier Park, Indiana Downs, Miami Valley, Oaklawn Park and The Meadows.

The contract is also important in that it coincides with the public launch of WatchandWager’s new mobile enhanced application, watchandwager.com/mobile, in parallel with an increase in marketing activity for the WatchandWager brand.

“We are delighted to work with Churchill again to cover the Derby and the other important race meetings under their control this year. It’s a testament to our investment as a licensed US ADW and racetrack operator that one of the leading content providers in the US, and indeed the world, continues to extend our partnership.” said Ed Comins, President of WatchandWager.com LLC. “We look forward to a great Kentucky Derby on Saturday.”

The racetrack at Cal Expo will be promoting the Kentucky Derby live via the simulcast racing facilities in advance of live racing on Saturday evening.
